Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization that boosts public speaking skills and confidence globally. With 270,000+ members across 148 countries in 14,200+ clubs, we empower individuals to achieve communication goals through regular practice and skill development. Founded in 1924, headquartered in Englewood, Colorado.
Toastmasters Türkiye has 13 clubs divided into three areas, which make up Division H, in District 109 which spans across 16 countries. In Turkiye, six clubs have their meetings in English, six in Turkish, and one is bilingual, alternating between Turkish and English meetings. Eight clubs are in Istanbul, four in Ankara, and one in Izmir. Meetings are face-to-face, online, or hybrid.

Toastmasters is an organization that helps people improve their public speaking and leadership skills. In Türkiye, the first Toastmasters club was established in Ankara in 1996, followed by the first club in Istanbul in 2007. Istanbul Türkçe Toastmasters, founded in 2012, was the first club to hold meetings in Turkish, while Ankara Kolejliler Toastmasters, established in 2018, became the first multi-lingual club. İzmir Türkçe Toastmasters, founded in 2019, introduced Toastmasters to Izmir.
Milward Brown Toastmasters Club, the first corporate club in Türkiye, was founded in 2014 but is no longer active. Shell Türkiye Toastmasters and Boston Scientific Toastmasters are active corporate clubs of Toastmasters in Turkey, founded in 2019 and 2023, respectively.
Toastmasters in Türkiye have also played a significant role internationally. The District 109 Hall of Fame 2023 meeting, the first international event hosted by Toastmasters in Türkiye, took place in Ankara. The annual District 109 Conference will be held in Istanbul in May 2024, highlighting the growth and importance of Toastmasters in Türkiye on the global stage.
